Little Big Town have canceled three additional weeks of shows to let vocalist Jimi Westbrook heal. The “Girl Crush” singers were expected to return to the stage on July 31, but Westbrook is still recovering from vocal cord surgery.
Westbrook underwent surgery in late June, and has been silent since. A polyp had formed on his vocal cord, something that’s not uncommon in the music industry. Barbie Land will not just be on the big screen, in Greta Gerwig’s big-budget “Barbie” film, opening Thursday night. It’s also at the pink-themed wonderland Brick & Motor Boutique, 1629 2nd Ave., Rock Island.
